Quality Systems
TLW Technologies has experience with two popular quality systems used in the industrial product markets. We look forward to an opportunity to discuss further your needs and goals in this area, and provide you with the support, guidance and expertise we have to offer.
ISO 9001

A quality management system (QMS) based on ISO 9001 will communicate to your customers the commitment to quality and customer satisfaction your company has. This will help to enhance your company and brand as world class organization.
The benefits of having a QMS based on ISO 9001
- Globally recognized quality system
- Reduce waste and optimize internal processes
- Gain consistency with results and customer interactions
- Better control of products and services, improving customer satisfaction
- Larger potential customer base
- Internal clarification of operating procedures to insure consistent results in all areas of your business.
The reality is that you likely have parts of a QMS already in place. Most companies have procedures or policies to handle various tasks. TLW Technologies can work with you to develop your quality system or to support you in optimizing your existing QMS system.
- Gap analysis to determine where you are in relation to ISO 9001 requirements.
- Help develop various processes, especially processes dealing with product development, supply chain management, production, materials management and returns/repairs.
- optimize existing processes
- Guidance to resolve findings during audits
- Methods and insight for document management
- Help prepare for certification audits
TLW is positioned to help you at any stage or with any part of your QMS development or optimization.
ISO/IEC 80079-34
If your company develops products for use in hazardous locations or explosive atmospheres for a global market, then you likely already have an ISO/IEC 80079-34 QMS in place as this is a necessary component for many regions. TLW can support this and work with you to help optimize your quality system including services for the required product audits if you do not have the internal expertise to manage these on your own. We can also provide guidance if you are looking to expand the protection concepts covered by your QMS certifications. With knowledge and expertise in a variety of protection concepts, we can help with gap analysis to see where procedures will need to change or be added to accommodate the new protection method(s).
If you are new to the hazardous locations market and are looking to take products into these types of locations, then you will need a QMS specifically targeting this application. This is where ISO/IEC 80079-34 comes into play. If you already have an ISO 9001 QMS, the good news is you are part of the way there. ISO/IEC 80079-34 adds to ISO 9001 to specifically address areas within ISO 9001 that need further enhancement to manage products related to the increased risk of being used in environments that are potentially flammable or explosive. If you don’t have ISO 9001 implemented, once you have ISO/IEC 80079-34 implemented, ISO 9001 effectively will be as well. You will gain the benefit of a general QMS system for any non-hazardous area rated product by working under a general QMS system.
In addition to the items listed above for ISO 9001, TLW can help with all areas of ISO/IEC 80079-34 where enhancements to ISO 9001 are found.
- personnel training and records
- supply chain
- documentation control
- production
- returns and repairs
- internal product audits
- management review content
- details specific for the various protection methods
- certification related controls on materials and documents
